Meet Sarah Edmonds, director of Lafayette's LaFarm and Sophia Feller, Master Gardener and director of Easton's urban neighborhood gardens who will present information about how growing your own food in a community setting can increase access to fresh, nutritious food and provide opportunity for skill building and community building.

Last night we had a good dinner. We started with cocktail shrimp and some dipping sauce, and finished up with quesadillas, cole slaw and later on, some ice cream. We had enough; in fact, we had too much (Full Entry Here).

New data just released by the Department of Agriculture confirms what food pantry directors already know – that food stamp use is up in the US from last year, rising 2.4% in May from the previous May, with more than 15% of our population receiving benefits; one in six Americans need the program (Full Entry Here).
